Valentino at the Somerset House

Julia Roberts at 2001 Oscars

The Somerset House will dedicated a new exhibition to the Italian designer Valentino.

Some of the most iconic Valentino’s haute couture designs will be displayed including the gown worn by Julia Roberts when she won the Oscar in 2001.

More than130 gowns, celebrating Valentino’s exceptional career, will feature in the museum. Iconic diva dresses wore by Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Grace Kelly and Sophia Loren will make this exhibition incredible.

“Each of these designs has a beautiful story,” said Valentino in a statement.

“The atelier crafted each so diligently by hand, taking hours, sometimes days to complete. The details are incredibly intricate. Though outside the runway shows and events, the dresses have rarely been seen. To be able to showcase these designs at Somerset House, where they can be seen in great detail by the public, is very unique.”

Valentino: Master of Couture will run from November 29 to March 3, 2013 at Somerset House.
