Today marks the beginning of London Fashion Week, a chaotic 7 days which will see fashion royalty flock to our nation’s capital in preparation for some of the world’s biggest fashion houses to present their Autumn/Winter 2013 collections.
Labels which will be presenting shows include; PPQ, Sass & Bide, Moschino Cheap and Chic, Henry Holland, Issa, David Koma, Mulberry, Vivienne Westwood, Mary Katrantzou, Matthew Williamson, Richard Nicoll, Peter Pilotto, Christopher Kane, Erdem, Burberry, Tom Ford, Anya Hindmarch, Topshop Unique among many many others.
As well as exclusive shows which are invite only, many labels are now live streaming their shows online. Topshop Unique’s show on Sunday will be available through Google + and Mulberry will be showcasing their show through their website. I love this approach as it makes AW13 fashion available to the masses instantly! Henry Holland will also be releasing a capsule collection on eBay.co.uk to coincide with fashion week, the proceedings of this will go to Cancer Research UK, so get bidding!
I’m extremely excited for LFW, not only because of the shows, but because the incredible street style which our city is renowned for, will be in overdrive. Watch out for all the fashionista’s, bloggers, high profile magazine editors, celebrities, models and designers who will be milling around London. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook – we will be reporting straight from the catwalk!
